Hades is a god rulers underworld. In greek mythology, underworld usually identified with hell or the place for the soul of the death. In this myth, underworld is called tartarus. The front gate of tartarus is guided by three head dog called Cerberus. Every soul of the death will going to tartarus and the god who have duty to send the soult of the death is Hermes, the messenger of god.
Hades adalah dewa penguasa dunia bawah (underworld) dalam mitologi Yunani. Underworld sering diidentikkan dengan neraka atau tempat bersemayamnya roh-roh orang yang sudah mati. Dalam mitologi itu, underworld adalah Tartarus. Gerbang depan Tartarus dijaga oleh anjing berkepala tiga yang disebut Cerberus. Setiap roh orang yang telah mati akan menuju ke Tartarus, dan dewa yang bertugas mengantar roh orang mati itu adalah Hermes, sang utusan para dewa.
Hades is a the second son of Chronus and Rhea, the rulers of Olympian before Zeus take over. In Roman, Hades also known as Pluto or Aides the rulers of tartarus. Eventhough hades ruled over tartarus (underworld), hades is not the god of death itself. The God in charge to take a lifes is Thanatos, the god of death. Not Hades
Hades adalah anak kedua dari Chronus dan Rhea, sang penguasa Olimpia sebelum Zeus. Hades dikenal juga dengan nama lain yaitu Pluto dalam mitologi Romawi Kuno atau Aides. Meskipun Hades berkuasa atas tempat orang mati, Hades bukanlah kematian/maut itu sendiri. Dewa yang bertugas untuk mengambil nyawa orang lain adalah Thanatos. Bukan Hades.
In Greeks myth, Hades is describing as a dark personality, introvert, cruel, and almost identified with death even he is not a god of death. Physical describing of Hades in the Greeks gods pictures is someone who is big, dark skin, thick beard, wearing a crown on his head and holding a staff that symbolize his rule over the underworld. Hades almost alway hated and feared of mortal. Even says there is no one any place of worship intended only to Hades.
Dalam mitologi Yunani, Hades digambarkan sebagai seorang yang berkepribadian gelap, tertutup, kejam, dan hampir selalu diidentikkan dengan kematian, walaupun dia bukanlah dewa kematian. Penggambaran fisik Hades dalam gambar-gambar dewa Yunani adalah seseorang yang besar, bertubuh gelap, berjanggut lebat, memakai mahkota di kepalanya, dan memegang tongkat yang melambangkan kekuasaannya atas dunia bawah. Hades hampir selalu dibenci dan ditakuti oleh manusia. Bahkan boleh dikatakan tidak ada satu tempat pemujaanpun yang diperuntukkan khusus untuk Hades.
The Queen of the underworld is Persephone, the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the goddess of fertility of the earth. Hades falls in love with her, likes the other god does. However, Persephone did’nt falling in love to any gods, included Hades. Hades did not marry Persephone in a good way. He kidnapped Persephone and locked her in Tartarus. Of course, her mother, Demeter was so angry and sad because losing her daughter. Even Zeus dont have power to bring back Pesephone to Demeter. Demeter was so upset and sorrow, she no longer gives fertility of the earth, as resulting is prolonged winter, and plants cannot grow anymore on the earth. Many people who suffer from grief of Demeter that losing Persephone. To prevent more suffering of the earth again, then Zeus delegate Hermes, the messenger, served as a mediator between Hades and Demeter, in order to Persephone to be re-unite again with his mother. Hades allowed Persephone with her mother for a year. After re-nourish the earth Demeter
Ratu Underworld adalah Persephone, putri dari Zeus dan Demeter, sang dewi kesuburan bumi. Hades tidak menikahi Persephone dengan cara yang baik-baik. Dia menculik Persephone dan menyekapnya dalam Tartarus. Tentu saja ibunya, Demeter sangat marah dan sedih kehilangan anaknya. Bahkan Zeus-pun tidak berkuasa untuk mengembalikan Pesephone kembali kepada Demeter. Saking sedihnya Demeter, dia tidak lagi memberikan kesuburan di bumi, sehingga terjadi musim dingin berkepanjangan, dan tanaman tidak dapat tumbuh lagi di bumi. Banyak orang yang menderita akibat kesedihan Demeter yang kehilangan Persephone. Untuk mencegah bumi lebih menderita lagi, Zeus mengutus Hermes, sang utusan, bertugas sebagai mediator antara Hades dan Demeter agar Persephone dibiarkan bertemu kembali dengan ibunya. Hades membolehkan Persephone bersama ibunya selama setahun. Setelah itu Demeter kembali menyuburkan bumi.
But even then, Hades was the only one in the history of the gods who love only one woman, is Persephone. Hades did not have any girlfriend and the other wives besides Persephone as polygamy or infidelity that is often doing by the other gods.
Tapi walaupun begitu, Hades adalah satu-satunya dalam sejarah para dewa yang hanya mencintai satu wanita saja, yaitu Persephone. Hades tidak memiliki kekasih dan istri lainnya selain Persephone seperti poligami atau perselingkuhan yang sering dilakukan oleh para dewa lainnya.
